Demonstrate the ability to apply Scrum in real teams by facilitating Scrum events, supporting collaboration, coaching Scrum roles and practices, and helping teams deliver value through iterative and incremental Agile ways of working, as validated by the Certified ScrumMaster® (CSM) certification from Scrum Alliance.
The Certified ScrumMaster training program and related certification exam offer a solid grounding for moving one’s career forward in the area of Agile delivery and Scrum. Obtaining the Certified ScrumMaster credential indicates that one has a working knowledge of Scrum that is relevant and useful in a practical, real-world application—namely, the relationship between roles, events, and artifacts on a team.
To the organizations, CSM-certified professionals are seen as competent in the facilitation of Scrum events, collaboration, coaching of teams in Scrum principles, and helping teams in the delivery of value through iterative processes in every sprint. The certification is geared towards the application of Scrum principles as opposed to the theory, and it helps in building the confidence needed to maintain high-performing teams.
