Take a breather
If the initial attempt fails to work its own magic, plan to take a few days off from your endeavors. This allows the mind to clear itself so you can refocus your efforts with increased clarity of mind and self-confidence.
Check Your Feedback
Examine carefully where things have given you trouble in the past—most gaps occur in such things as Scrum roles, events, artifacts, values, and application of Scrum practices to real-life situations rather than purely theoretical knowledge.
Adjust your prep approach
Do not rely on the same routine. Look back at the Scrum Guide and concentrate on the examples given in your training. Zoom in on the Scrum implementation in the everyday lives of teams.
Target Weak Spots
Devote more time to those areas which didn’t quite feel right. Try using basic examples, actual team cases, as well as your own work experience to make the concepts of Scrum more practical.
Practice with timing
Try to finish practice questions under time constraints to get a better timing sense. For every incorrect answer, examine why the chosen one is better aligned with Scrum Framework.
Learn from various sources
Use your own Scrum Guide and integrate it with course content and other perspectives to aid your comprehension and gather different viewpoints and information regarding Scrum.
Improve pacing
Don’t languish over one question. First, attempt the ones you’re certain of answering, flag the difficult ones, and then go back to them later on so that time can be used well.
Keep a Positive Mindset
Keep a positive outlook “One failing attempt does not define you.” As a matter of fact, many candidates end up passing their CSM® certification on their second attempt after sharpening their study strategy.
Reattempt with confidence
When you’re ready, retake the exam with a calm mind, clear understanding, and preparation in line with the standards of the Scrum Alliance.
